Casal da Fonte is located in a small, historic village in Ribatejo, Vale do Paraíso: Land of Encounters. Land of Passions.
It was in Vale do Paraíso that King D. João II met a Lady of the Kingdom with whom he fell in love.
Christopher Columbus came here to tell D. João II that he had discovered America.
We too are passionate about the land. For the stories told by our grandparents. For so much they did with so little they had. The values transmitted, the respect for what comes from the earth.
Our production is based on the tradition passed on by ancestors combined with modernity and the knowledge of new generations.
We focus our production on national and traditional grape varieties, we believe in their characteristics and potential: Trincadeira, Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Castelão. The final product results in wines with character, full of flavor and aroma.
For us, wine is synonymous with joy, union and happiness. We immediately thought about the harvest, it was a family reunion. It was a party. Casal da Fonte was born out of a passion, so we try to put into what we do what was experienced, what was passed on to us.
