CASAL DA FONTE | THE DREAM OF TRADITION

Casal da Fonte is located at a small and historical village in Ribatejo province, called Vale do Paraíso:
Land of Encounters, Land of Passions.

It was here in Vale do Paraíso that portuguese King D. João II often met a Dame with whom he was in love.

Christopher Columbus came here to meet King D. João II to inform him that he had discovered America.

We also are passionate about this land. The stories told by our grandparents. For what they did with so few resources. The transmitted values and respect for what is given by the land.

We have 7 hectares in full production, where tradition transmitted by ancestors is combined to modernity and to learn of new generations.

Our production is based in national and traditional varieties, as we believe in their characteristics and potential: Trincadeira, Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Castelão. The final product translates into wines with character, full of flavor and aroma.

For us the wine is synonymous with joy, and happiness. We immediately think in the Harvests, when was the reunion of the family. It was a party. O Casal da Fonte was born from a passion, so we tried to put in reality the feeling that we had when we were raised.
